Has EcoAlliance Synthetic Grass undergone testing?

Yes, the components used in the production of EcoAlliance synthetic grasses have undergone extensive research and development, including extensive UV stability and wear resistance testing. The fibers we use have been installed on over 800 million sq. ft. of sports fields worldwide over the past 35 years. Our synthetic grass products have undergone lead testing and our infills have undergone heat/temperature testing and gmax ratings tests.

Does EcoAlliance Synthetic Grass have a warranty?

Yes, EcoAlliance synthetic grass comes with a standard 8 year limited warranty against fading and workmanship. The product has a life expectancy of 20 years depending on use and weather.

Will the long-term effects of the sun harm EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod?

No, our fibers will resist the damaging effects of the sun and extreme weather.

What is EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod made of?

EcoAlliance Synthetic grasses are made from polyethylene and nylon yarns. We use latex and polyurethane backings.

Who can buy EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod?

Can EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod add value to my home or business?

Yes, an attractive low maintenance landscape design that has an artificial lawn can easily add 10% or more to a property's value. EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod will eliminate annual lawn maintenance fees and significantly decrease water consumption.

Is EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod similar to patio carpet?

No. Patio carpet is a first generation synthetic grass product. Our synthetic grass products are so realistic that it is difficult to distinguish from natural grass. Our synthetic grass fibers are manufactured with an advanced blend polypropylene, unlike first generation patio carpet. Our synthetic grass is durable yet soft enough to offer a realistic look and feel.

How much does it cost?

EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod is priced by the square foot and installation costs vary in each area. Typically it will pay for itself in 3 years compared to the installation of natural grass with an irrigation system. What about drainage?

EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod has perforations in the backing which allows for proper drainage. The drainage is similar to natural grass. The sub base for your synthetic grass installation base should be constructed with a 1% grade to assist with drainage. Putting greens and fringe do not have perforations in the backing so proper grading is essential for effective drainage.

Is artificial lawn "pet friendly"?

EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod is pet friendly. Cleaning up after your pets would be the same as natural grass – simply use a rake, scooper, and water to clean. EcoAlliance also recommends a quarterly or semiannual cleaning and maintenance program that can be done for less than $100 per year. Call us to find out more about it.

How do I remove yard debris from my artificial lawn?

Use a rake, leaf blower, or yard vacuum to remove leaves and debris from your artificial lawn.

Is EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod flammable?

EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod is Non-Flammable. Cigarette burns will melt the fibers and can be clipped away.

Does EcoAlliance Synthetic Sod get warmer than natural grass?

Yes, on average synthetic grass is approximately 5-10 degrees warmer than natural grass. However, this can be minimized by the use of our tan, rubber coated infill products in your artificial lawn. This infill product has been heat tested.

What type of infill material do you recommend?

We offer a round grain silica sand that is then coated and thermally bonded with polyolefin elastomers. The process completely coats and bonds the elastomer to the sand grain through the manufacturing process. We also offer a premium double rubber coated infill product for better GMax results and playability. The elastomer coating used on is thermally bonded to the quartz. Extensive wear and abrasion tests have proven the product’s outstanding durability and reliability. It is completely UV stable and has a high melting point under the temperatures that can be found on the surface of synthetic fields. At the end of their useful life, the elastomers in our infill can be reprocessed and recycled.

Are there chemicals or metals found in your infill like that found in black crumb rubber infills?

No Chemicals or metals are found in the infill we offer and recommend for our artificial lawn installations. We use an FDA approved food grade elastomer in the coating process. Thus, the elastomers that we use in the product have been approved for use around food preparation and are some of the safest materials available.

You can pick up your products from over 600 locations across North America. Depending upon the size of your organization you may also choose to stock product or to have it direct shipped to the job.
